Guidelines for cataloguing images using the Picture Queensland web form

13.  Publisher

Field Label:  PUBLISHER

Definition: A person or organisation responsible for making the resource available in its present form.

Purpose: This element is usually the name of the agency that controls or publishes the resource in its current form. It allows a user to find all resources currently under the control of a particular agency.

Obligation:  Required

Input guidelines

13.1 The publisher is responsible for making the information available in its present form. It is the organisation or person who created the digital resource.

13.2 Normally, this would be the name of the organisation that was responsible for digitising the photograph.

For example:

• Chinchilla Shire Library
• Barcaldine Shire Council
